/ how we operate

How the work gets done, and why the team stays small.

01

Ship the working version.

Incremental and live beats complete and theoretical. Most of what we've built reached customers before it was finished, because a team this size has no capacity for work that isn't in front of someone.

02

AI-first is a default, not an exception.

Every role and process starts with the question of whether it should be a system. Headcount is what we add when the answer is no.

03

Humans review the exceptions.

Regulated work has a correct answer written down. Systems apply the rule; people handle what doesn't fit it. That's not a limitation of the model; it's how compliance already worked.

04

Own the outcome.

We don't hand customers a dashboard and their own liability. If the filing is wrong, that's ours.

05

Say the uncomfortable thing early.

Especially with the client who has to live with the answer. We'd rather be early and awkward than accurate and late.

06

What AI-first means here

We loop AI through the roles themselves, not around the edges of them. Work that used to be a headcount line (the reviewing, the answering, the checking, the following-up) runs as systems the team supervises rather than performs.

That's what makes it possible to deliver a real service at small-business prices, and it's why the team stays small as customer count doesn't.
